Ahmedabad Imagine living in a residential complex that's not just eco-friendly but gives you a feel of chilling out in the cool climes of Bangalore right in the middle of a blistering and scorching summmer in Amdavadi summer.
What's more, at a time when the aam aadmi is facing the heat of high priced realty, imagine being able to pick up your dream home in this cool, eco-friendly city at affordable prices.
For the first time the Vibrant Gujarat summit is set to ink an MoU for a carbon neutral city at Matar in Kheda district on AHmedabad's outskirts at a cost of Rs 630 crore. Matar is set to be brought under the Ahmedabad Met-Metropolitan Authority. The concept will not just enable residents to be more environment friendly by emitting less polutants through a cool walk-to-work ambience, the key to the carbon neutral city would be architectural techniques that will provide ample shake through trees or building structures and help generate cool breeze. The ciy would also be powerd by solar energy.
Teh concept is based on the world's first carbon neutral city - "MasdarCity" - unveiled this January on Abu Dhabi's desert out-skirts followed by China's beach town by Rizhao where solar energy will be used to power the city. |
